Outcome
Because of how quickly Covid-19 happened, I had the opportunity to work on English-Chinese translation for interface copy and manage translation workflows from Apr to Jun 2020. The experience was rewarding and it was a chance to think about content design in Chinese and research on best translation practices and management.
As translation needs slowly increased, GovTech started hiring a translation team and I transitioned back into Content Design work for LifeSG and My Legacy in English. Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to try translation management softwares such as lokalise. However, this short translation has sparked my interest, it is definitely an area of work that I’ll be keen to learn more about in the future!
